Just under two weeks ago, Sun K released a video for their debut single and the title track of their upcoming album, Bleeding Hearts. The song is deeply rooted in large hazy 70s-style guitar-driven rock and roll. The video, directed and edited by Ryan Thompson, features the entire band playing in multiple exposure, mixed in with lead-vocalist, Kristian Montano, driving in an old muscle car (possibly a mustang?) and model, Dani Klupsch, trying to gain his attention, the whole thing has an almost Twin Peaks-esque vibe to it that very much suits the song.
If this tune is any indication, their new album – due out in the fall – is going to be a must-listen! The band just played last night at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto as part of NXNE and in July they’ll set out on a tour of mid-western Canada. They play a great live show with high energy fun and are not to be missed. Find them on the road on any of the dates below:
