We’re back with part two of Bloody Diamonds‘ video series Tough Love Live Sessions. If you missed last week’s video, you can check that out here. The session was filmed live off the floor at Manantler Craft Brewing Co. in Bowmanville, ON, prior to the band leaving on a cross-Canada tour.

Each week in October, we’re debuting a new video from that session accompanied by some thoughts on each track by the band’s lead vocalist, Sara Elizabeth.

Here’s what she had to say about the second track, “Toxic”

This song is my personal favourite off the EP. Jake and I wrote it together on guitar. I just love singing it live, it’s got so much drive and emotion! Always the best part of the set for me.

Watching that was intense to say the least, but incredibly and amazingly captivating. Even though I’m sure they’re having fun, that’s not quite the word I would use to describe what they’re doing, but you can definitely tell they’re into it, which really helps a crowd get into it too. It’s not enough to just have good music, you have to have a good live show, and this band certainly does.

Don’t forget to keep tuning in each week to see each of the five videos from the Tough Love Live Sessions, and catch the band live as they make their way back to Toronto from the west coast!
